How do I get Gear Clearance for a 52 tooth gear?

First remove the pillowblock on the gear side.
Then I take a dremel with a cut-off disk and then slowly open up the top of the gear opening so it is a 45 degree angle.
You DO NOT have to cut the gear slot all the way through.
Done right, you will not even be able to tell by viewing the car from the bottom that the chassis has been modified.
If it is a gear slot that surrounds the gear, simply do both ends of the slot.
